WESTMEAD LYNX

This is more an appeal page than an info page. Although we're only a few generations into the Caloona bloodline it's been difficult to keep track of what's happening with the pups and racers that have hailed from our foundation brood Westmead Lynx. We'd like as much information as possible regarding her offspring and their offspring. Whether it be photo's, rearing whereabouts, injury updates, racing and breeding updates or just general stories - EVERYTHING & ANYTHING please!

We'll put photo's in our galleries, include stories in our latest news and gradually (hopefully) piece together everything about our Jessie's pups and their exploits - good or bad.

Westmead Lynx (Daleys Gold x Westmead Move) was born March 1993. She herself had 5 litters: Murlens Slippy (Dec '95), Droopys Sandy (Jun '97), Toms The Best (Apr '98), Shanless Slippy (Aug '99) and Top Honcho (JAn '01). So everything Caloona comes from one of these five crosses. In fact, as far as we know, nothing from the Droopys Sandy and Shanless Slippy litters has bred on so we're down to just the three litters to Murlens Slippy, Toms The Best and Top Honcho.

Now, taking one bunch at a time, the Murlens Slippy bitches have bred on very well: Caloona Move has of course produced the wonderful Caloona Striker. Along with him she's produced Open winners and top graders like Ruud Mover, Slippery Joe, Chota, Lottie Lightning, Sun Magic and Crawsham Lad. Her litter to Toms The Best (like her mum's before her) was her best. Only one of the 15 bitch pups she's produced across her four litters has herself produced. Lunar Lilac is a story all to herself. She's a litter sister to Caloona Striker and Ruud Mover. She was exported as a pup to America in the new ownership of Julie Collins. Lunar Lilac was kept for breeding, but for some reason, she never took to motherhood very well. Eventually, after much perseverence, she managed a pup to Craigie Whistler - named Denham Springs (according to Greyhoung-Data). It also states that she's produced again to to the same sire. Good news. Julie give us an update if you can please.

Caloona Hustle has produced a Cat 1 winner in Paint Spot to Sonic Flight (British Breeders Produce), but none of her seven daughters (as far as we know) have yet brad on.

Caloona Lynx again produced Open winners to Toms The Best in No Blagging and Cherry Bear, but again only one of her ten daughters, No Blagging, has produced pups.

Three of Jessie's Toms The Best girls have produced - Sundar Storm, Caloona Colours and Molly Doodle. Looks as though Colours is the Best producer her with litter to Top Honcho produced some very fast pups (Caloona Mist, Fancy A Flyer, Caloona Blue, Lady Darkness and Viva Honcho). She also has pups to Maxi Rumble. Rumour has it (according to Greyhound-Data, that Colours will go for a repeat to Top Honcho next time.

Both of Jessie's Top Honcho daughters have produced - Caloona Storm to Toms The Best and Caloona Magic to Droopys Vieri and Maxi Rumble.

So c'mon and give us as much Caloona info as you can - all bits welcome.

Thanks
