Not too much to report here really. We have Caloona Mist (Top Honcho x Caloona Colours) on site, but still very much on the racing side of things - until her next season anyway. Our general rule of thumb for sire selection is, if it's the bitch's first litter, put her to a proven sire. If she's produced well to a proven dog then perhaps try something a little different later on.
I know Caloona Storm (Top Honcho x Westmead Lynx) and Ruud Mover (Toms The Best x Caloona Move) are both waiting in the wings for their next seasons, but only one of the two will be covered - dependent on the quality of Storm's first litter (Toms The Best) who are just starting now.
For unproven sires I like the look of Razldazl Billy and Skywalker Magic. Both sired by Brett Lee (who's fee makes him prohibitive), with damlines through Annies Bullet to Im Slippy. Quite fancy putting a bit of the old Irish speed back into all Australian outcrossing!
Any thoughts? Let us know.
